The DRIVENxDESIGN is annual awards that provides recognition within the design spectrum. Known in the industry for celebrating and honouring the role of design and the skills of designers, while recognising all aspects of the design process, including product, digital, interiors, architecture, graphic, textile, events, fashion, advertising, food, experience, and publications.
The award category for ’Health/Active Life’, supports Virgin Active’s vision to become the world’s most loved exercise brand with their first Collection Club opening this April (2018) in Barangaroo, Sydney. A brand famously known for challenging conventions — in every aspect, was re-tested, re-imagined and re-defined. Now leading the way in immersive fitness with the introduction of powerful ‘experiential design’.
Our multidisciplinary team worked closely with the client to deliver the very best in architecture, art, science and technology. The overarching design has been crafted around the ‘Seven Dimensions of Wellness’ with natural and sustainable finishes, biophilia to improve air quality and intelligent lighting aligned with a visitors circadian rhythm. Everything about the design, materials, programs and music was aligned to create a polysensory experience.
